“The mind of the intelligent seek knowledge, but the mouth of fools feeds on folly.” Proverbs 15:14
We live in a time of great technological convenience. We have at our fingertips, in our hands, vast reservoirs of knowledge. For example, on my own iPhone I have six apps that are dedicated to the Bible and the study of it. Yet, I am ashamed to say that those apps are not where most of my screen time is spent. Instead, I spend far too much time on the trivial things of life and the things that the writer of Proverbs calls folly.
Several years ago, Al Mohler said that Biblical Christianity is a religion of the mind. A true Christian will be a person who is always seeking to further their “knowledge” of God. Most of our world feeds on “folly.” Let us as Biblical-Christians be constantly seeking to know God more through the study of His Word.
